Tina is a skilled psychotherapist, having earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies for recreation therapy.
She is a passionate advocate for anyone struggling with their mental health. She promotes well-being through supporting client-centered solutions and growth, combined with talk-therapy techniques suited to each client's individual strengths and situations.
Tina works with adults and children, providing a safe environment to share and learn developmentally appropriate skills and strategies. She effectively works with client's to cope with trauma, depression, anxiety, and other psychological concerns. She also supports those who struggle with the social, emotional, and self-esteem challenges that come with being neurodivergent, or those with intellectual and learning disabilities.
Tina has training and experience with ASIST- Applied Suicide Intervention Training Skills, Humanistic Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, in group and individual therapy formats. She focuses on her client's background, support systems, cultural strengths, and leisure interests, taking a holistic and goal oriented approach to their treatment plans.
She has a warm and intuitive approach with genuine compassion, and uses evidence-based techniques. She is creative and incorporates this into her sessions. Tina is authentic, genuine and truly desires to help client's improve their overall well-being and works hard to support her client's goals.
